The Norway Air-Land Marine Expeditionary Brigade (NALMEB) is the Marine Corps’ only land-based prepositioned stock and consists of prepositioned Marine Corps gear within six tunnels in central Norway, such as at Bjugn Cave Orland Main Air Station in Norway. The Norway Air-Land Marine Expedition Brigade was intended as a cost-effective deterrent to assist in the protection of NATO. A Maritime Prepositioning Force (MPF) is a rapid deployment and assembly of a Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) in a secure area using airlift and forward-deployed maritime prepositioning ships. An MPF operation is a mission-tailored, strategic deployment option that is global in nature, naval in character, and suitable for various scenarios.
Entelliteq (previously IR Tech) defined the requirements, designed the technical architecture, and coded an application to support NALMEB and MPF planning conferences. The application and its accompanying database were network and web-enabled, designed to support both independent and combined plans, and displayed plan status to conference leaders and conference members on a web page. Add-on technical work included enhanced database features, ability to support remote users, and a reduction in the need to transfer documents and spreadsheets. Add-on functional work included subject matter expert (SME) planning support and planning conference logistics support.
